Its fascinating to read about how networking on social media has changed the way that recruitment and executive search firms recruit physicians and nurses. I believe that in the US, where the industry is much more competitive, executive search healthcare industry has seemed to adapt much more quickly ~because they have to in order to survive. Here in Canada, where there is significantly less competition we have been a little slower to adjust. At our firm, we have begun undergoing a considerable amount of training in social media and networking online in order to expand our social networks and keep our candidates and clients engaged. During the course of this transition we have set goals for ourselves and hope that by being early adapter in our industry of health care consulting firms we can gain a competitive edge and thus better serve both our candidates and our clients.
